Article Surfing ArchiveShould I Make A Website - I Don't Know HTML - Articles SurfingProfessional looking websites, it's easy to get nervous about creating your own. Especially if you don't know anything about how to build a web page. Thanks to organizations and people everywhere, you don't have to let that stop you. Do a search, on any search engine, about HTML. For instance, you could use "HTML for beginners" or "learn HTML free". Both of those searches return great sites. Browse a few until you find one that is suitable for someone like you. Be sure to take your time and mimic what you see the author doing. A great thing about building webpages is the ability to slowly work them up. A webpage is anything found within an opening HTML tag and a closing HTML tag. Put those on a page and presto, you have a webpage. Now you can learn how to put stuff in between those HTML tags. A great way to learn how to build an awesome page is by learning from the experts. Those that already have pages you might admire. You can do this by "spying" on the code in their web site. To do this go to their webpage, right click on the background of the site, and click on view source. You can also click on "view" in your browser and click on page source that way as well. Now, look for keywords in their site. If you like the color of a specific word, you can search for that word on the page and see what color code it has. Bookmark a few websites designed to teach web development. As you work on your new page it is always nice to have a quick reference for tags you don't use every day. If you don't even know what you are looking for, turn to the search engine again. I find "HTML code email" works great for finding out how to offer your email on a page. Have fun, it's your own page, be creative. You can change anything you like, nothing is permanent, except the address. That brings us to this next point. There are many sites that offer free web hosting. Those sites are great, great because they are free. However, a good portion of them, in return for offering your site a new home, place advertisements on it. There might also be restrictions on content, or how you can operate your website. Another great alternative is buying your own domain name. Generally these are fairly inexpensive, twenty dollars or less. They offer the same great things as free web hosting sites, such as site building tools. However, they have no advertisements, no restrictions on content and you get to pick the address name. As an added plus, many offer things such as a specified number of email addresses. Some even offer affiliate programs so you could potentially have a free domain name and webpage for referring some people to the service. So, do not feel like you could not make a good looking webpage. Thanks to the many dozens of resources on the internet today, you could make a site that will truly impress your peers. Pay attention to your new page. Make sure it works. As you grow in your own life, so will your web page. It can reflect who you are, who you were, and where you might be going.
