Travelling To Italy - Festivals And Fairs - Articles Surfing

Whether you are visiting Italy, or planning a trip to, you can discover a whole new world about the Country: the world of traditional Festivals and Fairs, which is still alive from North to South.

Italy is a modern-word country, which did not forget its traditions and rituals. There are many events throughout the year in every town or village.

There are world-famous Festivals in Italy, such as the Palio in Siena (Tuscany), the San Gennaro Feast in Naples or Venice Carnival, Saint Efisio Festival in Cagliari (Sardinia). But, besides these main events you could find many other interesting Festivals in the small cities or villages.

Italy's festivals are the best way to get in touch with its people and traditions. Italians are very proud of their origins and massively take part in their country Fairs, usually driven around typical Italian Traditional Food, meats, cheeses, wine.

If you are travelling in Italy, discover a different view on Italy and learn its many different traditions. Spring and Summer are the best seasons for country Festivals; the good weather brings lots of fresh products of the land (Wine, Fruits and Vegetables).

Traditional Fairs are also a good way to eat out and saving a lot of money. Food is always served and is really unexpensive, and most of the time it's really good food, yet simple and traditional. Don't leave Italy without tasting one of its world-famous wines or cheeses, as weel as the differents Pastas and traditional sweets and cookies.

Religious Celebrations are spread throughout the year, but concentrate around Christmas and Easter. Many people are deeply devoted to Catholic Church's Saints and every Italian country or village has its Patron Saint which is always honored in an annual Feast

There are also many Historical Parades, Medieval Celebrations, and Pageants or Palios. These kind of Festivals, usually in Castles or Medieval Villages, take you back in time through History.
