Pain can come in different forms, be it physical pain and emotional pain. It is a life-long study for the scientists to discover medicines and cures for different sickness and illness that could create pain for our human body. But, what about emotional pain? Cures of emotional pain does not come in a bottle of painkiller, but definitely, friends and family could help you overcome it. But, most importantly, healing should start from within by helping your own self. You can also seek a professional help to assist you and guide you along the process. I believe there is no human being that is a stranger of pain. Deaths of a loved one, divorce, rejection or a breakup are just some of the situations that can cause emotional pain and trauma in one's life. I, myself have been through a lot of heartbreaking experiences and I admit, it made me a stronger and better person than before, though the process was not done overnight. I will share to you some of the tested tips that I also applied in each healing process I've been through: ' Accept the pain. Though sometimes, we deny the reality of the misfortunes that happened in our life, we have to take some time to reflect on what happened and accept it on ourselves that the pain is real. It's okay to cry and let the pain all out in tears. Talk to your friends and family about how you really feel. ' Write. Yes, writing is a good way to release heavy feelings; it is a therapy to some. Most of the time, the urge to write strikes the most when one experienced the highs and lows in life. You can blog it over the net or write it in your diary and you will soon realize that it relaxes and lightens your feeling. ' Go out and see the sun. Take a walk, jog, go swimming and jam with your friends. Little you will know, you will be laughing out loud with your most outrageous friends. Have fun and take a break from the emotional baggage you are in. ' Forgiveness. You might not forget what happened, but, at least, forgive not only the person that caused you pain, but, forgive yourself too. Forgiveness frees us from the negative feelings and it allows us to move on, and start anew. The things mentioned above might easily be said than being done especially when you are in the state of pain and grief. But, the most important is you learn to stand-up after every fall while taking the lessons that comes with the experience. There are more wonderful things to do in life than wallowing over pain. Let the pain brings out the strength in you and keep the optimism that you will grow beyond the pain. Whatever happens, life should go on.
