Neckties And Health Issues - Articles Surfing

Always there is a discussion about the issues on conformity, expectation and expression between the accepting group and the refusing group in wearing neckties. Great Frank Lloyd Wright said great architecture 'Form follows function'. When this tie is used as a decorative for men many questions arose by the same principle. Arizona State University passed a resolution in the year 2005 to have no discrimination based on gender preferences, this also include cross-gender choices.

But as some time is needed to change this these policies and sentiments, instructions are given that for all men to wear ties as well as all women should wear hose and heels in the Office of the President during any ambassador visits or in any official meeting.

Even some men have been fired out for not obeying the rule of wearing proper ties. But for women wearing ties are considered improper. But now most of the employers are forcing women employees to wear ties to form an identical dress code.

The opponents for necktie wearing have stated the risks with the wearing of neckties to add strength to their arguments. They further stated the risks are from entanglement, infection and vascular pressure.

The risk of entanglement is very well understood in between the people who work around machinery and also in meeting of persons meet face to face where a quarrel can be expected. For them avoiding neck ties or wear clip-on type is advisable because it is easy to detach them when they are grabbed with force.

The second type of risk on wearing ties comes when doctors wear them. The habit of cleaning ties less often can carry much of bacteria. When doctors check patients health condition they will lean nearer to the patients and their ties comes in contact with the patients. So it is advisable for doctors to wear bow ties as they will not come down.

The third risk is vascular constriction when ties are worn with very tight collars. Studies shown that when the ties are worn with tight collars the intra- ocular pressure raises high to make the peoples condition worst as they already are having weakened retinas. Also the people with glaucoma should handle this with special care.

But in all these cases when we take some precautionary measures it reduces the percentage of risk. The lack of awareness is the main risk in all these cases.

When we are in need of the paramedics help, their first aid will start with removing the tie from the victim. It is necessary to remove the tie when symptoms of unconsciousness or difficulty in breathing occur. So when this is done the pressure in the airway releases to give the patient normal breathing.
